Successful Conclusion of NAME FEST 2026

It is a pleasure to inform that the Final Day of NAME FEST 2026 was successfully held on 25 January 2026, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The day began with the inauguration ceremony graced by Major General Md. Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant, MIST. The event was inaugurated through balloon launching and cake cutting, marking a vibrant start to the day’s celebrations. Following the inauguration, a colorful rally was held with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.

As part of the final day’s programme, a seminar titled “Prioritizing UN SDGs for Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and Identifying Corresponding Roles” was organized. The seminar was graced by Rear Admiral Mohammad Maksud Alam, BSP, NUP, BCGM, BCGMS, ndc, psc, Commandant, NATDOC, as the Chief Guest, along with faculty members, students, and professionals from the maritime sector.

Three distinguished guest speakers delivered insightful speeches, sharing valuable knowledge and perspectives on integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the maritime field. Their discussions provided significant guidance and inspiration for students and future engineers.

The event concluded successfully with the announcement of competition winners, crest handover, and a photo session, marking a memorable end to NAME FEST 2026.
