The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), successfully organized a technical talk session titled "Evolution of AI" on 25 June 2025. The session featured Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, a distinguished academician and researcher from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Chittagong, as the keynote speaker.
The event began with a brief introduction of the speaker, outlining his remarkable contributions to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) both in academia and research. Professor Hossain’s lecture provided a comprehensive overview of the historical development of AI, starting from early rule-based systems to the current era of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.
